Payroll Outsourcing for Hong Kong SMEs — MPF, ORSO and IR56 Filings.
A monthly payroll cycle run by people who do this every day: salaries and MPF calculated, payslips issued, IR56 forms prepared, deadlines tracked. You approve; we do the rest.
We have run the full monthly payroll cycle and HRIS administration for a 250+ employee workforce.
What Payroll Outsourcing Includes
Monthly Payroll Processing
Salary, allowances, overtime, deductions and pro-rating for joiners and leavers — calculated each month and returned to you for approval before payment.
MPF / ORSO Contributions
Employer and employee contributions calculated monthly under the MPF Schemes Ordinance or your ORSO scheme, with the contribution schedule prepared for your trustee.
IR56 Series Preparation
IR56B at year end, IR56E when someone joins, IR56F when someone leaves and IR56G when someone leaves Hong Kong — prepared for you to review and file with the Inland Revenue Department.
Final Payment Calculation
On termination or resignation: outstanding wages, untaken annual leave, payment in lieu of notice and, where applicable, severance or long service payment — worked through with reference to the Employment Ordinance.
Statutory Calendar
We help you stay on top of statutory holidays, MPF contribution deadlines and the annual IR56 filing window, so nothing is left to memory.
Bilingual Support
Payslips, schedules and correspondence in English or Chinese, and a single point of contact who answers questions from you and your staff in either language.
How It Works
- 1
Scoping call
A short conversation about headcount, pay structure, MPF or ORSO scheme, and how payroll is run today. We confirm the scope and quote from this.
- 2
Onboarding
We collect employee records, contracts, scheme details and your pay policies, agree a monthly cut-off date, and set up the payroll file.
- 3
The monthly cycle
You send us the month’s changes by the cut-off — new joiners, leavers, overtime, bonuses. We calculate, you approve, and you receive payslips, a net-pay summary for your bank transfers and the MPF contribution schedule.
- 4
Staff changes
When someone joins or leaves we prepare the IR56E or IR56F, calculate any final payment, and adjust the following month’s MPF contributions.
- 5
Year end
We prepare the IR56B for every employee and the accompanying BIR56A summary for you to review, sign and file within the Inland Revenue Department’s window.
Payroll Outsourcing FAQ
What does Payroll Outsourcing include?
Monthly payroll processing, MPF and ORSO contribution calculation, IR56B / IR56E / IR56F / IR56G preparation, final-payment calculation on termination, payslips, and support for your compliance with Hong Kong employment regulations. We act as your back-office payroll team — you focus on the business.
Do you handle Hong Kong statutory filings like MPF, ORSO and the IR56 series?
Yes. All statutory contributions and filings are part of the service. We calculate MPF / ORSO monthly, prepare the year-end IR56B filings, handle IR56E, IR56F and IR56G for staff changes, and help you stay on top of statutory holidays and Employment Ordinance requirements. The employer remains the signatory and filer; we prepare everything and track the deadlines.
How does the monthly payroll cycle work?
We agree a cut-off date with you. Before that date you send the month’s changes — joiners, leavers, overtime, bonuses, unpaid leave. We calculate the payroll and send it back for your approval. Once approved, you receive payslips for each employee, a net-pay summary for your bank transfers, and the MPF contribution schedule for your trustee.
How much does payroll outsourcing cost?
We quote after a short scoping call, based on headcount and how complex your pay structure is — commission, shift pay and multiple MPF schemes take more work than fixed monthly salaries. The first consultation is complimentary.
Do we need an HRIS before outsourcing payroll?
No. We can run payroll for you from day one, and if you already use an HRIS we work inside it. If you are moving off spreadsheets altogether, our HR digitalisation service covers that separately.
What do you need from us each month?
Only the changes: who joined, who left, overtime and bonus amounts, unpaid leave and any salary adjustments. Everything that stays the same carries over. Most clients send this as a short email or a shared sheet before the cut-off date.
