HR Re-structuring and Compliance Review for Hong Kong Companies.
When HR has grown by accident rather than design: a structured review of what you have, a prioritised list of what to change, and support until the new processes are working.
What HR Re-structuring Includes
Compliance Review
Contracts, handbook, leave records, working-hour arrangements, termination practice and MPF administration reviewed against the Employment Ordinance, MPF Schemes Ordinance and related Hong Kong statutes.
HR Practice Review
How hiring, onboarding, performance, leave approval and offboarding actually happen today — including the parts that live in someone’s head rather than in a document.
Prioritised Findings
A written report that separates what needs attention first from what can wait, with the reason for each item, so you can decide rather than guess.
Process Streamlining & Re-design
Duplicate approvals removed, hand-offs made explicit, and each process written down in a form a new team member could follow.
Implementation Support
We stay involved while the redesigned processes go live — updating documents, adjusting templates and answering the questions that only surface once people start using them.
Training for HR & Managers
Your HR team and line managers are trained on the new processes and on interpreting the updated policies, so the improvements hold after we hand over.
How It Works
- 1
Diagnostic
We read the documents, look at the records and talk to the people who run HR and the managers who use it. This usually surfaces more than the original concern.
- 2
Findings & priorities
A report of what we found, ordered by what matters most, with a recommended sequence. You decide the scope of what follows.
- 3
Re-design
Policies, templates and processes are rewritten or replaced. Each change is reviewed with you before it is finalised.
- 4
Implementation
The new processes go live with our support — including the practical questions that only surface once they are in use.
- 5
Training & handover
HR staff and managers are trained on the new way of working, and you receive the final document set and a review calendar for the year ahead.
HR Re-structuring FAQ
What is HR Re-structuring / Health Check?
A diagnostic review of your existing HR function — compliance review, policy and process review, training analysis — followed by re-design and implementation support. It is for businesses whose HR has grown organically and now needs to be streamlined for the next stage of scale.
What does the compliance review cover?
Employment contracts and the handbook, leave and holiday practice, working-hour arrangements, termination and final-payment practice, MPF enrolment and contributions, and personal-data handling — each assessed against the Employment Ordinance, MPF Schemes Ordinance, Inland Revenue Ordinance (IR56 series), Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and other applicable Hong Kong statutes. We report what we find and how we would address it; we do not provide legal advice.
What do we receive at the end?
A prioritised findings report, the rewritten policies and templates, documented processes in a form a new hire could follow, training for your HR team and managers, and a review calendar for the year ahead.
Will you replace our HR team?
No. The engagement works alongside your existing HR people and managers. Knowledge transfer is built into every stage so that the redesigned processes are owned internally after we hand over.
Can this be done before we implement an HRIS?
Yes, and it is often the right order. Putting an unclear process into software makes it harder to change, not easier. The health check usually comes first, and our HR digitalisation service then puts the cleaned-up process onto a system.
How is this priced?
The diagnostic is scoped after a complimentary first consultation, based on headcount and the size of your document set. Re-design and implementation are scoped separately once the findings report shows how much needs to change — so you are not committing to fixing problems before you know what they are.
